We worked collaboratively with the project-estates team and programme leads to create developed furniture layouts and product collections for each School and department, with a focus on flexibility, functionality, sustainability and RCA alumni designers and partners.
We worked collaboratively with the project-estates team and programme leads to create developed furniture layouts and product collections for each School and department, with a focus on flexibility, functionality, sustainability and RCA alumni designers and partners.
A big part of this project was working with Vitra and their new Comma system to develop student learning and making bays that could be hacked throughout the year from creating, to group work, to making, to end of year shows.
Furniture is such an integrated part of any design, and it was hugely important to develop sustainable solutions that optimised space use with re-configuration options that allow year-on-year use, reducing waste, cost and environmental impact over time.
